Welcome to Joe’s Bike Shop, a cornerstone of the North Florida cycling community for 40 years. Located on Lake Ella, in Tallahassee, FL, we’re a no-bs hub for commuters, students, and trail enthusiasts.

Founded in 1986 by Joe Mezzina, the shop was built on a simple, "old-school" philosophy: provide high-quality service, reliable gear, and honest advice to all levels of bike enthusiasts. Joe’s vision was to create a place where everyone—from an FSU student needing a quick flat fix to a seasoned roadie—would feel at home.

​In February 2026, exactly 40 years after the first bike rolled out the door, Joe’s Bike Shop entered a new era. Joe Mezzina has officially passed the handlebars to Ed and Susannah Miller.  This transition was a natural choice decades in the making. Ed has been a fixture at the shop on and off for 30 years, and Joe hand-picked him to carry the legacy forward for one specific reason: Ed is a bike magician.
